The Lighthouse Lodge on Lake Shafer is the newest, most luxurious bed and breakfast in the Lake Shafer / Lake Freeman / Monticello area. Our lodge sits on lake level surrounded by Lake Safer and Mallard Bay. We have a historical stone lighthouse built in the 1920's soon after Lake Shafer was formed by the construction of Norway Dam. We have swimming areas available both on the main lake and in the bay, and a large park-like lawn for sunning and sitting in the shade of our many trees. Our rooms have ceramic tile floors, large private bathrooms, theapeutic foam topped queen ro king sized beds with high thread count linens, and are tastefully decorated.
Bonnie & Mike Triplett have combined their 27 years of experience in the hospitality industry (Owners of "Gabriel's Pub" in Melrose Park, IL.) and their exceptional location on Lake Shafer to bring you this unique lodge.
The Lighthouse Lodge on Lake Shafer has been designed to comfortably accomodate all your special events, from couples to entire family/friend reunions, sleeping up to 33 guests.
The Lighthouse Lodge is able to provide you with delicious meal options. On-site catering is available and is capable of providing for special dietary needs.
